LOVE this hat!
This is a stylish hat that is very flattering. It's not bulky on the crown nor does it flatten out on your head. The picture looks steely-blue on my computer but the hat is truly black. The buckle adds a nice touch. I want one in every color! -

It will be hard to beat Melissa's black pointy-toed pair, decorated with a faux gold buckle made from craft foam, a "Wicked" rhinestone pin and a purple spider with web. The spider matches her purple-and-black striped socks.
"This is just a fun night out for girls," said Becky, 66, of rural Pocahontas. "We eat, drink a little wine, compare costumes, play a game and laugh a lot."
The creative trio begins outdoors.
"We line the driveway with luminaries if the weather permits," said Becky. "We've never had a moonlit night. People are used to being in town. Out here it's pitch black."
They transform her home's lower level with fun and spooky decorations. They marvel at the variety available and have just about one of everything, from a "wipe your witchy feet" doormat to a Halloween shower curtain. Watch out for the bat in the toilet.
"We have actually bought something not realizing we already had it," said Becky, a substitute teacher in Highland.

This hat is by far the easiest to create!
First, cut a basic hat shape from your black paper. From that same page, cut 2 black strips that you can use as a headband.
Next, Cut a band and buckle for your hat. In the picture above, we used white and gold but brown looks great too!
Last, glue on your band and buckle. Then glue on the black strips to the back of the hat to fit your child’s head. That’s it!
For the girl pilgrim hat…
Next, on the opposite side of the crease, cut 2 slits that are about 4 ” long. When you’re done cutting, you should have 3 flaps.
In the picture above you can see that I’ve also used a hole punch to create 2 holes near each end of the crease. You’ll use these holes to help keep the bonnet on your pilgrim girl.

For some ungodly reason, [Scott] has a friend that wanted a ‘sexting themed’ Halloween costume. We won’t try to make any presumptions of the creativity or mental stability of [Scott]‘s friend, but the SMS scrolling LED belt buckle he came up with is pretty cool.
The belt is based around a $13 scrolling LED belt buckle [Scott] found online. There was a problem with the belt buckle, though. Thirteen dollars means [Scott] didn’t get a whole lot of features with his buckle, so there are only 3 buttons on the entire device: letter up, letter down, and enter. Instead of pressing a button 80 times to get a lowercase ‘z,’ an Arduino was thrown into the mix to take care of all the button pressing.
