Bought this for my wife who often complains about how cold she is. I gotta say, when my wife puts this on, she looks so cute, it really looks good on her. When I put it on, I look totally lame probably because I'm a guy. Anyway, everyone compliments her on how cute it is and where she got it.... -
Cozy cool
I was surprised to see how well made this actually was. The inside is lined with polar fleece and I checked the knitting on the outside and found it in good order. I am totally impressed. It fits well and should be fun to wear this winter. Bought as a gift for a college bound student.

I have a hat that I crocheted with white Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool.
Recently I've learned that it's really easy to dye wool with things like kool aide and food coloring, and I want to try it.

Hot water and/or friction is what makes wool felt so I don't see why cold water dye should cause problems.
You no doubt had some yarn left over. Crochet a piece in the same stitch pattern as your hat and dye the piece to see what happens.
